An agent for your codebase, on open models
A desktop client that plans, edits and runs, using models from the AETRON network. It works on your machine with your API key; the model sees only what the agent sends it.
macOS universal, Apple silicon and Intel · Windows x64
Agent loop
Reads files, proposes edits, runs commands and tools, and iterates until the task is done.
Skills
Reusable instructions as SKILL.md files the agent writes and reuses, plus slash commands for routines.
MCP servers
Connect Model Context Protocol servers; their tools appear to the agent like built-in ones.
Any catalog model
Pick any model from the router catalog, including free ones and aetron/auto.
Auto-updates
New releases install themselves; the app checks GitHub releases on start.
Your key, your budget
Runs on an AETRON Router key, so per-key caps, guardrails and the request log apply to the agent too.

What is new in v0.1.1
Full release notes on GitHub →- Local mode.Start working without picking a project folder. The agent runs in your home folder, the way a terminal session does. A pinned "Local" entry sits above your projects.
- Model lists for your own keys.Save an Anthropic, OpenAI or DeepSeek key and that provider's models appear in the picker. The list is fetched from the provider, so new models show up without an app update.
- MCP servers.Connect Model Context Protocol servers, local (command) or remote (URL). Their tools reach the agent as
mcp_<server>_<tool>and ask for the same permission as a shell command. Settings shows which servers connected and what they provide. A server declared by a plugin is listed with an Add button, so nothing starts without you. - Skills are files.A skill is a
SKILL.md:skills/<name>/SKILL.mdfor every project,.aetron/skills/<name>/SKILL.mdinside one. Ask the agent to write a skill and it appears immediately. Skills bundled with plugins are picked up too. Your existing skills move to files on first launch. - The agent knows its own setup.Ask which skills, commands, subagents or MCP servers it has and it answers from what you actually configured.
What do I need to start?
An AETRON Router key. The daily free pool applies, so the first sessions cost nothing. Keys for other providers can be added on top.
Where does my code go?
The app runs on your machine. The agent sends the model only what it needs for the task: the files it reads and the outputs of the commands it runs.
Does it run commands on its own?
Shell commands and MCP tools ask for permission before they run. Skills and plugins never start anything without you.
How do updates arrive?
The app checks GitHub releases and installs new versions itself. Settings → Updates checks on demand.
